After nine years of faithful ministry at the First Baptist Church of Stewardship, Atlanta Georgia, Pastor Sheets was summoned by God to “go to a land I will show you.”  Pastor Sheets then began a journey which has totally transformed his ministry.  God began to minister to him with regard to his call, agency, and assignment in the kingdom of heaven.  He reported, “Since that day ministry has never been the same.”

 

Michael Sheets is a seasoned pastor, entrepreneur, community leader and visionary.  He has twenty-four years in parish ministry, during which his focus has always been empowering his members and the surrounding community as well. 

 

Pastor Sheets obtained a Master’s of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center, and has a B.A. in Communications from Texas Southern University.  He is a recognized and sought-after speaker, biblical teacher, and a religious leader who has had much influence in the Atlanta metropolitan area through his work on the boards of the Interfaith Outreach Home and L. Allison Flen Consultants, and the Gwinnett County School System Parent Planning Committee.  Most recently, he has been invited to be a member of the Aldine Independent School District Partners of Excellence Group.

 

Additionally, Pastor Sheets is the senior pastor of Abundant Faith Baptist Church in Humble, Texas.  In his initial year of service, he has organized the church around Vision 2020: a comprehensive roadmap and plan for Abundant Faith’s current and future evolution.  Through highly effective teaching and preaching, compassionate relationship-building, and strong servant-leadership Pastor Sheets has solidly established himself as one consistently able to bring to life the transformative power of the Gospel of Christ.
